A personal hobby project
I run Fairy2Fairy from the Netherlands as a personal project, not as a company. This page explains what data I collect and why.
1. Who is responsible
I am the person responsible for personal data on this site. Questions about privacy go through the contact page.
2. What I collect
If you create an account or use the site, I may process:
- Email address, username, and password
- Optional profile details you choose to save
- Questions, readings, notes, and quiz or meditation records if you use those features
- Technical data such as IP address, browser, and cookies needed for login and security
- Anonymous visit counts that need no cookie and are on whatever you choose in the cookie banner: how many page views and visitors there are per day and per week, and the first language your browser asks for (for example "nl"), as totals only. A visitor who is not logged in is counted with a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you, and no IP address is stored. These totals are kept for a limited time (currently about 13 months).
- Free readings without an account: the question you type and the cards drawn are used to make your reading and are not stored in our database. The reading, and the score of a quiz you take without an account, is kept in your own browser (local storage) until you sign up, when it is saved to your account, or until you clear your browser data. If the reading is AI-supported, your question and the cards are sent to the AI provider as described in the AI terms. To keep the number of free readings fair, I count them per browser session and with a one-way code of your IP address that changes every day and is deleted after two days, and I keep daily totals only (how many free readings and quizzes were made and how many were saved to accounts).
- If you accept analytics cookies: anonymous visit and page-view statistics through Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland / Google LLC). Google signals and ad personalisation are off, and the data is kept for 14 months. If you decline, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your choice any time with the Cookie link in the footer.
There are no paid plans, so I do not collect payment card details.
3. Why I use it
I use this data to run the site: accounts, readings, saving your history, security, and answering messages you send me.
Some interpretations may be sent to AI providers (for example OpenAI) so a reading can be generated. Hosting is on Google Cloud. Those providers process data under their own terms.
I do not sell your personal data. I do not use your questions to train my own AI models.
4. How long I keep it
Account and reading data stay while your account is open. You can ask me to delete your account and data through the contact page. I may keep a little technical data for a short time if I need it for security.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or to receive a copy. You can also object to certain processing. Use the contact page for these requests.
You may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the authority in your EU/EEA country of residence.
6. Cookies
The site uses cookies needed to keep you logged in, remember consent, and keep the service secure. See the cookie policy for more detail.
7. Children
Please use the site if you are 16 or older. If you are younger, use it with a parent or guardian. If I learn that I have an account for a child under 16 without that, I will delete it.
8. Transfers outside the EEA
Some processors (such as cloud hosting or AI providers) may be outside the EEA. Where that happens, I rely on GDPR-approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Changes
I may update this page. The date at the top will change when I do.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and data requests: contact page.
