Cookies

Last updated: November 01, 2026

This is a personal hobby project. I use cookies so the site can log you in, stay secure, and remember a few preferences. I do not use cookies for advertising.

What I use

  • Session and security: keep you logged in and protect forms (including CSRF).
  • Remember me: stay signed in if you choose that option.
  • Theme: light or dark appearance.
  • Cookie choice: whether you accepted or customised cookies.
  • Visit counts (no cookie): I also count page views and visitors as daily and weekly totals, with the browser's first language, without setting a cookie or storing your IP address. This is not tied to the cookie choice.
  • Free readings without an account (no cookie): If you try a free reading on the home page, the reading (and the score of a quiz you take without an account) is kept in your browser's local storage so you can save it to an account later. It stays on your device and is removed when you sign up (it is then saved to your account) or when you clear your browser data. The daily limit uses the same session cookie as the rest of the site.
  • Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*, kept up to 2 years) that count visits and show which pages are useful. Google signals and ad personalisation are off, and the address of the page is sent without secret links or ids. Nothing is sent to Google until you accept, and you can withdraw at any time with the Cookie link in the footer.

You can also change cookies in your browser. Needed cookies cannot be turned off, or login and security would break.
